I am the kind of person who can wear the same pair of shoes over and over and over again until they are on their last leg and then some.
Two types of shoes rule my everyday style: sneakers and sandals. Right now, I NEED to buy a new pair of sandals, if not two. One sporty and one more "dressy," and by dressy, I mean sleek(er). Or at least something that I can dress up and look more put together. Something that will make me look like I know what I'm doing, if that makes any sense.
I have two pairs of sandals that I wear on heavy rotation. One pair is from Camper Lab, and the others are from Tibiāboth brands I love.
I have received so many compliments wearing both sandals. Camper Lab shoes are fun and not too expensive. Tibi is Tibi; it's awesome, modern, creative, versatile, and a little bit more costly. Unfortunately, they don't make these styles anymore. If they did, I would buy the same ones in a different color. I am that person.
This need sent me on an extensive hunt for a new pair of sandals to replace my darling Camper Lab and Tibi ones. Although, we all know I will continue to wear them until something breaks.
I need a couple of versatile sandals to wear with my overalls, sweatshirt pants, track pants, pillowcase dresses, jeans...everything. I don't want to buy something I can only wear with just a few things. Nothing too flat because I need more support. Nothing with logos, too trendy, too fancy, or too delicate.
The following is what caught my attention in no specific order. I haven't bought anything yet. I still need to give it a lot of thought. I'm not an impulsive buyer; only about cookbooks, lol. Someday weāll talk cookbooks.
I hope you like my selection. Maybe youāre looking for sandals too.

I'll be honest. I'm gravitating towards theĀ A.Emery Jalen Leather SandalĀ and theĀ Arizona Love Trekky LĆ©opard Green Bandana.Ā I know I would wear them a lot, and they are in a favorable price range. I love that the A.Emery sandals are versatile and have good support. I have very flat feet, so I can't wear sandals with thin, flat soles. It hurts my feet. I also LOVE the leopard print and hint of green on the Arizona Love sandals.Ā
I acknowledge that some of the options I present to you are costly. I did visit The Real Real, but nothing sparked my interest. And I wish to buy something other than just stuff. The second-hand market is always an option for those who enjoy it. When it comes to shoes, I like them brand new. Why? Because It's fantastic to buy new shoes, and because I will use them and abuse them.
I will keep you guys posted on my choice. I might buy one pair now and the other one later. Weāll see.
Queen of Sandal Style
Lucy ChadwickĀ is the queen of excellent sandal style. She is the queen of many things indeed; her style is something special, one I look up to and inspires me. Very modern and laid back. I like it when people don't take their outfits too seriously, or at least they make it look like that.
I know I've been quiet for a very long time. It's not because I'm inconsistent or bored with this newsletter. A few things happened to me in January, right at the very beginning of the month, that punched me in the gut and knocked the wind out of me. I'm not going very deep into it right now because it's not the right time, but I will say that God is good ALWAYS, and his faithful love endures forever. What's important is that I'm here now, showing up, sharing my passions with you, and putting myself out there.
If you're going through a challenging time, Iād like to encourage you, I need the encouragement too. Don't give up; keep moving, keep showing up, don't lose your faith, hold on tightly to God, declare his goodness in your life, and expect good things to happen to you, even if things look dark and impossible. Trust me, Iām doing this with you. Have a grateful heart, and know that whatever you are going through, it's not forever, it's only temporary. It will pass. The best is yet to come. It's not easy, itās uncomfortable, but I believe this with all my heart.
I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.
Psalm 34:4-7
It took me a while to come back, but I am here. Thank you for being here too. Knowing that you take the time to read me means the world to me. We all know how precious time is.
I love you. I believe in you. If you enjoy this newsletter share it with someone you think might appreciate it too.
Until next!
P.S. Next Sunday, I'm writing about overalls, so stay tuned because overalls are the best, and you all need to wear them.
