Shopping Cart #2
A cookbook, sneakers for days, pajama pants that are not pajamas, A Duvet Cover I don't hate, and the entire Alessi Plissé Collection.
Welcome to Shopping Cart, my friends. The place where I share the things I fancy. The things I wish I were shopping right now. Maybe I'll buy them, maybe I won't, or perhaps you will. Either way, stuff is good, really good.
What I Want to Read: Big Heart Little Stove.
I learned about TLK during a trip last year to York, Maine. The Airbnb we rented had a cookbook in the kitchen titled The Lost Kitchen. Reading the book, I was surprised to find out who Erin French was, the story of her restaurant, and how impossible it is to get a reservation. I became obsessed. I watched the show and followed her on Instagram, and ever since I've wanted to buy her books. Somehow, I always end up buying someone else's book. Now that I have completed my Alison Roman’s trilogy and Mina Stone collection, I can move on to acquire Erin's books. I have to. Don't let me buy any other books. Not even the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen book.
What I Want to Wear: Donni The Pop Pant.
I'll say yes all the time to pants that look like pajamas but are not, especially if they have stripes because I have never met a stripe I didn't like. My lifestyle right now is very casual, so these guys are the perfect thing to buy and wear every day for days. I'm well known for wearing the same thing two or three days in a row. I will only change clothes out of pure shame.
What I Want to Sleep In: H&M Striped Duvet Cover Set.
As much as I hate duvets and duvet covers, they are necessary. Like I've said, I've never met a stripe I didn't like. Plus, this duvet cover gives Tekla vibes without having to pay Tekla $$$. I have no idea about the quality and feel of this product. All I know is that I'm on a budget, and H&M will do. You gotta do what you gotta do.
What I Really Want: Tracksmith Eliot Runner.
Sneakers and chunky sandals are basically what I wear all the time with everything, and if I can buy sneakers to wear to exercise and for leisure, even better. This is the case of the Tracksmith Eliot Runner. Good enough for running, great for fashion. I can't decide on my desired color because they are all so stylish. Perhaps I'll start collecting. Also, Tracksmith makes the most tasteful workout clothes for men and women, which I urgently need. If I only showed you what I wear to exercise nowadays, it’s shameful, but whatever.
What’s on My Christmas Gift List (wink wink): Alessi Plissé Collection.
Not just the water kettle, I want the entire collection, lol! I know, how very ambitious. The heart wants what the heart wants. All I have to say is that I will make excellent use of it and that it will look GORGEOUS in my kitchen. I will love and treasure it and treat it with so much tender loving care. I will give them names and they will be very happy living with me. The end.
That's it, guys. Of course, I fancy more things, but they must wait for the next Shopping Cart edition. One shopping cart at a time.
But before you go…
